Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Language: Proficient in English communication.
• Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience: Experience painting preferably in the shipbuilding industry.
• Certification: Possession of FROSIO or NACE certification is mandatory.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of various paint types, ship painting processes, and international standards.
• Leadership Skills: Strong team management, leadership abilities, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of occupational safety regulations and legal requirements for painting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise painting activities, ensuring adherence to technical standards and quality requirements.
• Monitor and inspect surface preparation to confirm surfaces meet the necessary conditions for coating application.
• Manage surface preparation processes (e.g., cleaning, blasting, chemical treatment) and supervise the execution of painting procedures as per specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations during painting activities, particularly in environments involving chemicals and specialized equipment.
• Develop detailed plans for each painting phase, including workforce allocation, materials, and timelines.
• Coordinate with other departments such as Technical, Quality control, Production, Construction and Project Management to ensure progress and quality targets are met.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers, customers, subcontractors and other third party to ensure accurate and timely work flow.
